 acking event and help ensure our neighbors have access to nutritious meals.
  Working alongside fellow volunteers, you'll help prepare meal kits that wi
 ll be distributed through nonprofit partners across our region.\n\nThis is 
 a family-friendly volunteer opportunity. Volunteers age 16 and older should
  register online individually. To register a child under the age of 16, ple
 ase contact Liam Watters.\n\nIt takes many hands working together to make t
 his event a success. Select the team that best matches your interests and a
 bilities and be part of the effort to prepare meal kits for distribution th
 roughout our community.\n\nCollection Team\nUsing a shopping cart and check
 list, Collection Team members gather all the food needed for each meal kit 
 and deliver the items to the packing stations. Their work keeps the packing
  lines moving and ensures packers have everything they need.\n\nPacking Tea
 m\n\nPacking Team members verify the shopping list and carefully pack food 
 items into each meal kit box. Attention to detail helps ensure every family
  receives the correct items.\n\nDistribution Team\n\nDistribution Team memb
 ers use carts to transport completed boxes from packing stations to quality
  stations and then to pallets for distribution. This is a physically active
  role that requires frequent bending, lifting, and moving boxes throughout 
 the shift.\n\nFinishing Team\n\nFinishing Team members perform a final qual
 ity check, add recipe cards, and securely seal each box before it is prepar
 ed for distribution.\n\nSupply Team\n\nSupply Team members keep the packing
  lines running efficiently by building boxes, replenishing food supplies at
  packing stations, and breaking down cardboard throughout the event. This r
 ole requires frequent movement, lifting, bending, and carrying items.\n\nSu
 pport Team\n\nSupport Team members provide assistance wherever it is needed
  most and will be assigned a role on the day of the event. This is a great 
 option for volunteers who are flexible and willing to jump in wherever they
  can help.\n\nPlease note: This event relies on the full participation of e
 very volunteer. Please register only if you can attend the entire shift and
  actively participate in your selected role.\n\nThe event will take place a
 t the David. L. Lawrence Convention Center in downtown Pittsburgh. Informat
 ion on parking options will be sent via email prior to the event. United Wa
 y is unable to reimburse for any parking expenses. \n\nUnited Way strives t
